VELUNOX is the platform under which IMS New Technologies AG holds its systems. The individual systems address very different fields — reservoirs, dry regions, integrated sites, medical provision and buildings. What connects them is the way they are built: not a better individual technology, but the ordered interaction of several components into a whole that sustains itself.
The five systems are far apart in subject matter. They are nevertheless built to the same pattern: a field in which isolated measures are customary and regularly fall short is set up as an integrated whole — with a defined sequence, defined interfaces and continuous evidence.
From this follows the practical benefit of the platform: whatever has been developed in one field in terms of ordering logic, evidence and licence design can be reused in the next. The effort arises once, the application many times.
Scope. VELUNOX is not software and not a product that can be purchased. It is the framework within which the individual systems are developed, protected and licensed.
The following entries state which field each system addresses. The technical design is the subject of the respective system description; the protectable core is no more disclosed there than here.
Each of the five fields has good individual solutions. They do not fail on their own account but because the remaining components are missing. The systems therefore address the interaction rather than the improvement of one part.
Evidence towards authorities, inspectors, insurers or funders arises during operation and not afterwards. It is part of the system, because otherwise it is not produced at all.
The systems are designed for existing installations, land and buildings. That is where the larger part of the market lies and where the gaps sit.
Connection is made through established standards. Operators and licensees remain free in their later decisions.
Proprietor of the brands and the associated know-how, Herisau, Switzerland. It develops the systems, holds the industrial property rights and grants licences.
Companies supplying the respective physical or professional layer implement the system towards their customers. The licence frameworks are under negotiation.
Individual components are implemented together with suitably qualified partner companies and research institutions. These are independent undertakings; their technologies belong to them.

The provider holds no separate VAT number. For services to businesses established in Germany the place of supply is at the recipient’s seat and the tax liability passes to the recipient under the reverse charge procedure. For services received from abroad, Swiss acquisition tax applies.
